Get a website, domain name, and hosting for $25 a year
This website, AlbertaMarketingStrategy.com uses Doteasy for its hosting services. The actual cost of this site was $6.93! There is a big sale going on right now.
Now, before I continue, I will warn you that building this particular site took about 80 hours and required some fairly extensive knowledge of website building. But, Doteasy comes with a site-builder tool that will allow you to build your own, simple website.
When you click the below image, you will be taken to the Doteasy. Follow these steps (the site may change but this will give you a good idea of what you need to do:
THE ABOVE STEPS ARE WHAT I CHOOSE 90% OF THE TIME. YOUR NEEDS MAY DIFFER. This process also requires some internet navigation knowledge.
(1) Click the above banner
(2) On the Doteasy page, click: Get Free Hosting
(3) Enter the name you want for your website. WARNING: Most good names are taken but you should still choose a .com or maybe a .ca extension. For example, edmontonautoandtruck.com
(4) You will be taken to a screen showing if that name is available. Right now it is.
(5) Choose the .com version and click continue
(6) If you have a coupon code, enter it to the right.
(7) I usually click the following: One Year; display whois, leave domain unprotected, auto renewal yes.
(8) The next screen asks you to choose the service: For the free hosting (but you may want something better) choose "No thanks. Keep the Basic Hosting Plan"; Spam - don't protect; Mail Pro - no; Photo - basic; Web Form - basic.
(9) Click the promo code box near the top right to get the deal. Then click continue at the bottom.
(10) Enter your information and be sure to write down your login and password that must be created.
(11) Click continue to proceed to the payment screen.
(12) Wait a day or two and you will receive emails telling you the accounts were created. Keep this info!
(13) After the accounts are created go back to Doteasy, click the MEMBER ZONE tab on the left, enter your information. Click continue sign in or the required button to continue.
(14) You will arrive at a screen that may be very intimidating. Click LAUNCH DOTEASY WEBSITE CREATOR.
From there you can create your website.
